Our mission is to preserve our maritime heritage, and our members volunteer to participate in underwater archaeology expeditions around the world.

Blue Octopus Scuba makes space and equipment available to MAHS. Blue Octopus Scuba's Course Director, Earl Glock, is also on MAHS Board of Directors.
MAHS offers an outstanding Introductory Course in Underwater Archaeology and Field School in Underwater Archaeology. MAHS graduates have participated as volunteers in underwater archaeology projects throughout the USA including those sponsored by the National Park Service, the NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries, and various state and local governments. MAHS volunteers have also participated in projects conducted in the United Kingdom, Bermuda, St. Maarten, Anguilla and various other locations around the world.
Many Blue Octopus Scuba staff and customers are also MAHS students and volunteers.
