Requirements:
To enroll in a Basic Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills, need to be in good physical health, and need to have completed the Confined Water portion of the training.
The Basic Open Water Diver Certification consists of three main phases:

eLearning (online, independent study) and Knowledge Review in the classroom to review/understand basic principles of scuba diving -- (Face-to-face class available, please ask your instructor for additional information).

Confined Water Dives (Pool) to learn basic scuba skills

Open Water Checkout Dives to use your skills and explore
What's included:
- Academics
- Open Water Checkout Dives
- Rental Dive Gear (BCD, Regulator(s), Weights, etc...)
- Tanks
- Entry to Lake Pheonix
What's not included:
- Personal Dive Gear (Mask, Snorkel, boots, and fins)
- Wetsuits (if necessary)
Educational courses can be refunded with a doctor's letter or rescheduled within one year. A fee of $75 applies for rescheduling within 7 days of the course date, and a $25 fee for rescheduling within 14 days. Course materials cannot be refunded.
Students must physically come in and be fitted no later than the Friday prior to their course.
